The workshop is geared towards educators, organizers, government partners and anyone working directly with their community.

Together we will:

Explore “Popular Education” (or education by and for “the people”) as a methodology for community power and participation
Begin applying the principles and practices of ‘Pop Ed’ to the design and facilitation of a specific element of your work in community

Reflections people shared about this workshop las year:

Theoretical AND practical; Heavy/real AND uplifting/visionary; high participant engagement

Facilitators did a wonderful job providing an overview of PE, moments of reflection and connection to our bodies, useful resources to review after the training.

I appreciated the breakout session to be in community with others committed to shared liberation.

I appreciated the physical practice of techniques and the example of building community power and consensus provided.
