AI is changing more than the tools teams use. It’s changing how organizations plan, build, learn, govern, and deliver value.

For organizations already using SAFe, the question is no longer simply “How do we add AI?” It’s “How do we evolve the way our ART operates for an AI-driven world?”

That’s what this course is designed to help you do.

In this two-day, highly interactive course, you’ll learn how to launch a new AI-Native ART or evolve an existing ART for AI-driven execution. You’ll assess your current readiness, explore the critical shifts required by AI-Native SAFe, and build an actionable launch plan you can take back to your organization.

This isn’t just an introduction to AI-Native SAFe. You’ll work through how roles, teams, planning, governance, product development, and execution need to evolve—and what that means for your ART.

You’ll leave with a clearer picture of where you are today, where you need to go next, and a plan for getting there.

What You’ll Learn (and actually work through)

Assess whether your ART is ready for AI-Native execution
Use the AI-Native ART Launch Readiness Assessment to identify gaps in your current Lean-Agile execution and establish a practical starting point for your transition.
Move from outputs to outcomes
Explore how AI-Native SAFe changes the way ARTs connect strategy, product development, and cross-team execution to measurable business and customer outcomes—not simply more output.
Evolve teams, roles, and ways of working for AI
Learn how AI-Native ARTs and AI-augmented teams operate, including the emerging AI Value Architect role and the changes needed to support faster, AI-driven execution.
Rethink planning for faster learning and experimentation
Work with Product Vision and Roadmaps, PI Outcome Planning, and Sense and Respond events to create shorter learning loops and help the ART adapt as conditions and AI capabilities change.
Build responsible AI into the way the ART operates
Explore shared AI governance, data security, ethical safeguards, and human oversight so teams can move quickly without creating unnecessary risk.
Build an actionable AI-Native ART launch plan
Bring everything together into a concrete plan for launching a new AI-Native ART—or relaunching an existing ART around AI-Native ways of working.

What Makes This Course Different

A lot of AI training focuses on tools.

This course focuses on how the system of work needs to change when AI becomes part of how the organization operates.

AI-Native SAFe builds on the Lean-Agile foundation you already have, but evolves it for an environment where teams can experiment faster, AI can augment work across the ART, and organizations need to learn and respond much more quickly.

The course combines:

The 12 critical success factors of AI-Native SAFe
Practical assessment of your current ART
New approaches to outcomes, teams, planning, experimentation, and governance
Hands-on development of your own AI-Native ART launch plan

The goal isn't simply to understand AI-Native SAFe.

It’s to leave knowing what you need to do next.

Topics We’ll Work Through

Why It Matters

AI doesn’t just make existing work faster.

It changes what teams can do, how quickly they can learn, how decisions get made, and how organizations turn ideas into outcomes.

Organizations that simply add AI tools to existing ways of working may get incremental improvements. Becoming AI-Native requires something bigger: evolving the operating model around the capabilities AI makes possible.

If your organization already uses SAFe, you have a Lean-Agile foundation to build on. This course helps you turn that foundation into an engine for AI-driven execution.

You’ll leave better prepared to:

Identify what needs to change in your current ART
Connect AI investments to measurable business and customer outcomes
Enable teams to experiment, learn, and adapt faster
Put responsible AI governance into practice without turning it into a bottleneck
Build a practical path for launching or relaunching an AI-Native ART

The goal isn’t AI adoption for its own sake. It’s building an ART that can use AI to deliver better outcomes, learn faster, and continuously adapt.
