Welcome to the ComedySportz® Richmond Rec League®, where passionate improvisers take their skills to the next level! Our Rec League is a year-round team for players trained in the basics of improv, offering weekly practice in the fast-paced, competitive style of ComedySportz®. This league is perfect for graduates of our Intro to Improv (and beyond) who want to keep honing their craft, play regularly, and deepen their improv skills in a supportive and energetic team environment.

ComedySportz Rec League is more than just a weekly practice—it’s a community of dedicated improvisers pushing each other to be their funniest, sharpest, and most adaptable selves. Whether you want to level up your performance skills, stay sharp onstage, or simply have fun with a team of like-minded players, Rec League is your space to grow.

Consistent Practice, Constant Growth – Weekly rehearsals help you sharpen your wit, refine your timing, and develop stage presence.
Game-Focused Training – Master the signature ComedySportz short-form games and strategies that make our matches thrilling.
A Supportive, Collaborative Team – Play alongside other dedicated improvisers who love the art of “Yes, And!” as much as you do.
The Pathway to Major League – The ComedySportz Major League is built, in part, from our Rec League talent! If you’re looking to step up to the next level, Rec League is the place to be seen and scouted.

If you’ve completed Intro to Improv and are ready to play, perform, and grow all year long, Rec League could be your next step! Come be part of the team and keep the laughs going!
