Please join Chicago Street Medicine and The Network as we provide an interactive hour of discussing scenarios of gender-based violence that may occur or have occurred on street runs.

This training is intended for those that have already taken the Gender-based Violence: Understanding the Intersections 2-hour session. However, this will be beneficial to any medical students and providers to help grow a better understanding of how to support survivors.

We will discuss topics such as:

Practical strategies for engaging with patients experiencing violence in the street setting
Do's and Don'ts when you suspect abuse or harm
Considerations when dealing with law enforcement, immigration status, minors, and other vulnerable populations.
