Clay Date for Two: Make Something Together

Looking for a different kind of date? Trade the usual dinner reservation for a little time at a pottery wheel and discover what you can create together.

Clay Date for Two is a hands-on ceramics experience for couples, partners, or best friends who want to try something new, have fun, and deepen their connection. Taught by Casey Campbell, professional ceramic artist, counselor, and founder of Elemental Counseling & Elemental Studios in Portland, Oregon, this workshop blends pottery making with relationship building practices that invite curiosity, communication, and playfulness.

You'll learn the basics of working on the pottery wheel while exploring how trying something new together can create opportunities for connection. Through guided activities and relationship-building practices, we'll explore how to stay present with one another, respond with curiosity and encouragement, navigate moments of frustration, and let go of the pressure to get things right.

No pottery experience is necessary. In fact, some of the best moments happen when things don't go according to plan. The goal isn't to make perfect pots, it's to enjoy the process, share a few laughs, and create a meaningful experience together.

Each participant will have one pot finished for them. Finished pots will be ready for pickup approximately three weeks after the workshop. Shipping can be arranged for an additional fee.

Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a memorable experience beyond the beach, Clay Date for Two offers a chance to slow down, get creative, and connect in a new way.

This is a community ceramics and relationship-building workshop, not couples therapy.

The cost includes finished pot. If you have another that you would like us to finish and glaze for you the cost is $30.

To cancel a workshop registration and receive a refund, notify us at least 14 days before the start date of your workshop. If we are given the required 14 days notice we will refund your payment, minus a $25 cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 14 days of the start of the workshop.
