Tap 2 -- (Must have 1 year of Beginner Tap or past experience)

Tap Dance: Beginners -
First 30 minutes of the class will be devoted to teaching basic tap steps to true beginners.

From Brant Broom – Instructor:

For all my classes you should wear loose clothing allowing for movement and fitting shoes with enclosed backs, no slide in slippers or clogs. Also no rubber sole shoes as they will stick to surface and not allow proper movement.

Also, please have some water near by to keep hydrated. Feel free to sit or rest during an exercise if you feel weak or over heated. Most of all have fun.

For Beginner Tap class, if you are not wearing Tap shoes, wear a soft sole shoe with a little heel. Again Jazz or Character shoes will be fine. For first few weeks you may wear regular shoes to see if you wish to continue before investing in a pair of tap shoes. However by mid semester everyone should be wearing tap shoes.
