UvA Connects: draw and cultivate your own Fig Tree of opportunities in this creative reflection workshop.

Slow down, connect with your creativity, and reflect on your identity as a young woman

Inspired by Sylvia Plath's timeless Fig Tree Metaphor, you will draw and cultivate your own Fig Tree of opportunities during this activity. As young women, we are constantly told we have little time to choose who we want to be, and we are forced to sacrifice so much of ourselves. At HeForShe x UvA, we invite you to slow down, connect with your creativity, and reflect on your identity. This is a space to embrace the plenitude of who you are, map out what you want to achieve, and then take on life with passion and courage.

About this student association

HeForShe is a student-led chapter of the UN Women's gender equality movement at the University of Amsterdam. What we stand for: tackling stereotypes, an intersectional view of discrimination and finding solutions for existing inequalities.
