UvA Connects: Join SIB Amsterdam for an interactive introduction to Model United Nations (MUN).

Step into the shoes of a diplomat, test your debating skills, and discover the art of international negotiation

Ever wondered what it’s like to represent a country, debate global issues, and negotiate solutions on the world stage? Now’s your chance to find out! Join SIB Amsterdam for an interactive introduction to Model United Nations (MUN). You’ll step into the shoes of a diplomat, test your debating skills, and discover the art of international negotiation. Whether you’re passionate about world politics or simply curious to try something new, this is your opportunity to speak up, think critically, and see global affairs from a whole new perspective.

About this student association

SIB Amsterdam is a politically neutral student association focused on international relations, connecting students from different backgrounds since 1947. We organise lectures, debates, social activities and professional development opportunities. We aim to create an inclusive and welcoming community where Dutch and international students can explore global issues, develop new skills and build meaningful connections. With no hazing or compulsory activities, everyone can get involved at their own pace.

This event is part of UvA Connects 2026.
