UvA Connects: (Re)discover the fun of ice skating and join us for a free hot choco afterwards.

You're welcome to join us for skating, socialising with members and students and having a hot cuppa together

The Social Skate is where all "SKITSers" come together to ice-skate and socialise. You're welcome to join us for one of our weekly training sessions! We'll meet at the Jaap Eden Baan for a fun warm-up, followed by an ice-skating training session. Our trainer and members will be there to help and share tips and tricks. You're welcome to join us, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro. And afterwards, we'll all enjoy a nice cup of hot chocolate together.

About this student association

SKITS are a group of students who love being active, whether cycling, ice skating, or in-line skating, and at the same time, have fun and enjoy our student life. We come from diverse backgrounds and compete and practice at various levels. But most importantly, we want to have fun together.

This event is part of UvA Connects 2026.
