Module 7 explains the manufacturing process of yellow teas and how they are so different from the other 5 categories of tea – why are they wrapped up in small parcels while the tea is hot and damp, how do they taste and why? And we will then discuss the fascinating history behind the origin of Puerh teas, made for transportation from China’s Yunnan province to the highest part of Tibet; why are Puerh teas called Puerh, what are the two types (raw and ripe), why are ancient tea trees (some up to nearly 3000 years old) in south west Yunnan province so important, how are the teas made and what makes the two types so different in terms of processing, flavor profile, availability and cost; two films will help explain everything.
