Recert SFA Level A or C (St. John Ambulance)
This is a classroom-based 1-day course that recertifies you in the St. John Ambulance-certified Standard First Aid course.
This re-certification challenge course is available at LSS regularly.
It recertifies “Standard First Aid with Level A or C CPR” so your current certificate must indicate Level A or C.
Your current SFA certificate MUST be valid on the day of the course. Expired certifications are NOT recertifiable!
Please contact us by phone ahead of course to arrange for pre-course pickup of book. This course requires advance study!
Course Content
Not everyone wants or needs to take the full two-day Standard First Aid course every three years to maintain their certification status. For those whose skills are still sharp, they can take this recertification course instead.
The course is challenge-based, such that you will need to demonstrate your competency in all the required skill areas for Standard First Aid (Level A or C). It is best taken only if you use your first aid skills often, as unsuccessful challenges are not refunded and then you would need to take the full course to recertify.
IMPORTANT: Prerequisites and PPE
You must have a currently-valid certification in Standard First Aid Level A or C (which means your certificate is not yet expired) in order to enroll in this course. This certificate can be from St. John Ambulance or from another Alberta OHS-approved program such as Canadian Red Cross or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Please inquire to ensure your certification qualifies.
You don’t need to bring along any personal protective equipment (PPE).
Note: All courses require you to have government-issued photo ID.

Was a great condensed version of the two-day course.
