Traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony
The webinar is ideal for tea lovers who wish to learn about the traditional Chinese tea ceremony - tea brewing with the ritual preparation and presentation of the tea.
The course delivers an introduction to the theory and practice of the traditional Chinese tea ceremony:

• How to set up a simple tea table
• The basic tea-wares and tools and their functions
• The fundamental steps of conducting a tea ceremony
• Demonstration of the tea ceremony
• How to serve teas to your friends
• How to hold a tasting cup
Although there are no mandatory practical elements in this webinar, for maximum benefit we strongly recommend that you prepare the following items so that you can follow Juyan’s instructions and practise the ceremony for yourself:
- Tea: the finest loose-leaf tea you have, at least 10g
- Water (spring water or filtered water, if possible)
- A kettle with a heat source
- A Gaiwan or a small teapot under 250ml
- A Cha Hai or a tea pitcher
- Small tasting cups: any size under 50ml
- A tea tray or a large sized tea towel
- Dry leaves holder or a piece of clean white paper
