Tasting of Baked Taiwanese Oolong Teas with Chau-Jean Lin
Join Dr. Chau-Jean Lin, our Taiwanese masterclass tutor and owner of the tea company Marulin, on a journey to learn about the tastes and nuances of Taiwanese baked teas. We’ll travel through the mountains of Taiwan and explore four teas with different roasting methods. By the end of the Academy Extra, we hope you will be able to get an idea of how the taste of the tea evolves with different forms of baking.
Included in the ticket price is delivery of four different Taiwanese baked oolongs which you will brew and taste along with Chau-Jean during the webinar.

Along with learning more about how baking affects these teas, Chau-Jean will give you tips for those who might want to brew them using gongfu cha style. It will be a lovely evening with a variety of teas from the mountains of Taiwan.
What will I need?
- Your phone, computer or tablet to join the webinar via Zoom
- Brewing equipment (kettle, teapot etc. or gaiwan for those who want to brew gong-fu style) and a surface on which to brew the teas during the webinar
