Once you have been hired to work as a guard, you will have 90 days to complete this 16hr OJT course. This course will have a good deal of specific and in depth information and training to give you more knowledge and training to perform the role of the security guard more efficiently. Depending on your facility or tasking, different modules may be added or removed to custom tailor the course to your needs.

Consider this course as advancing yourself above the basic 8hr Pre Assignment course.  

Rochester Personal Defense, LLC has assembled a full team of NYS Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) certified instructors who have the updated knowledge and skills to train and certify you. They know the job and the demands and they also know how rewarding it can be. Their approach is easy to take but also serious about the material and helping you become a Security guard of the highest quality possible.

We even offer follow up training in spray, Taser, unarmed skills, shooting development, and more. Once you become certified, you'll want to do more training, we're here to help you get better!
