The NRA CCW Instructor course is for those of you that are already NRA Pistol Instructors and wish to be able to offer training on the proper mindset, lifestyle, and to help your students develop realistic Concealed Carry skills to ensure their safety and the safety of those they care about.
This new course was developed after the NRA saw a need for a way to involve newer shooters in the concealed carry lifestyle.
This session combines BOTH the student level NRA Basics of CCW and the NRA CCW Instructor courses. You must be a certified and current NRA Pistol Instructor and have taken the BIT within the previous 24 months. (Call me if you have a question on this)
All Instructor candidates must have a good working knowledge of their handgun and be comfortable in the application of safe handling and the operation of their firearm. You must also have skills centered on concealed carry. In order to pass, you must obtain a 90% or better on the written and a 90% or better on the shooting qualification. THIS IS NOT A SIMPLISTIC QUALIFICATION.
The tuition cost includes the following: Admission to the instructor workshop and classroom materials for your use during the training course
Tuition DOES include the required student level NRA Basics of CCW course.
This LIVE FIRE course is taught by highly skilled and experienced instructors who love their work. They all know the importance of starting out right; and they all want to help you build a solid foundation so that you will be able to fully enjoy the shooting sports for a long time.

Required Equipment:
For this class, you will need the following items:
- A NY State Pistol Permit
- A working DEFENSIVE firearm (Must be listed on your NY Permit)
- 250 rounds of ammunition(MINIMUM)
- 2 extra magazines or speedloaders (MINIMUM)
- A quality made holster. Waist mounted is preferred. NO SERPA, Uncle Mikes, or cheap holsters
- A magazine/speedloader pouch or holder
- Eye and ear protection
- A hat with a brim
- Weather-appropriate AND PROFESSIONAL clothing and footwear (You will be outdoors for part of the course)
- A notebook
- 1 3-ring binder
- Water, snacks, and a lunch.
