Introduction to Shotgun

If you are curious about shotguns - what they do, how they operate, and how to get one, OR if you just bought one and you want to learn how to operate, clean, maintain, and store one, then this is the perfect course for you!

We will show you the parts of the shotgun, the differing types of shells available for the shotgun and their uses, and other important details regarding the use and ownership of a shotgun. By the time you are done with this 4 hour course, you will be comfortable in using one and you will know what to look for when you go to purchase one.

Operating cycle of a pump or semi auto shotgun
Cleaning and maintenance
Safe storage
Shooting fundamentals
Selection and purchasing

Required Equipment:
For this class, you will need the following items:

  • Eye and ear protection
  • Comfortable range appropriate clothing and footwear
  • Sunscreen and or bug spray
  • A shotgun in pump or semi auto configuration
  • 10 Slug shells
  • 10 Buckshot shells
  • 10 Bird shot Shells
  • A shoulder pad
