In this class, you'll learn all the fundamental basics of colored pencil art and lots of Cathy's tips and tricks.

You won't create a stunning work of art to frame, but you will learn how to create those gorgeous colored pencil paintings.

This is perfect for beginners....or anyone wanting to review the fundamentals for more practice. You'll be able to take what you learn from this class and apply it to your future works of art. Knowing the basics of this medium will give you the necessary confidence and skills to pursue the wonderful world of colored pencil art.

Supplies:

White Hotpress Watercolor Paper any size (more than 1 sheet for practicing)

An assortment of colored pencils ( I use Faber Castell Polychromos) but Prismacolors are also great

If possible, please have some shades of blues, greens, and a few greys.

If you have any pieces of pastelmat paper, have it ready because I will use some for demos

Please have some kind of embosser/stylus to use. Also:

clear magic tape

blender pencil (I use Prismacolor colorless blender pencil)

kneaded eraser

regular graphite pencil, preferably a "H" or "F"
