What is Tactical Pistol/Carbine 2?
Tactical Pistol/Carbine 2 is a two-day course that builds on our foundational pistol/carbine class, Tactical Pistol/Carbine 1. The class focuses on dynamic shooting and moving along with the considerations to build stable alternate firing positions. The course also emphasizes the importance of transitioning to the pistol for environments replicating close-quarters engagement distances during rifle malfunctions.

What are the class's gear requirements?
- Pistol and carbine of your choice.
- Plate carrier, chest rig, or a battle belt with at least two magazine pouches for your rifle mags.
- Proper on belt holster and pistol mag pouches.
- Sling (Single or Double Point)
- At least 3 magazines for each firearm.
- At least 500 rounds of rifle ammo and 250 rounds of pistol ammo.
- Eye and ear protection.
- Comfortable shoes. Most of the day, we will be on our feet.
- Sunscreen and a hat (Optional, but we will spend a lot of time in the sun.)
- Drinks and food.
What are the skill and age requirements to attend the class?
This is an intermediate class. Students must:
- Know how and be capable of safely operating both firearms (rifle and pistol)
- Load, unload, and reduce stoppages of both firearms
- Perform an immediate action on their pistol and rifle
- Perform rifle-to-pistol transitions

Students must be at least 21 years old, or 18+ with a guardian, and due to the Department of State ITAR regulations, tactical training is only available to US Citizens/Legal Residents.
What is your cancellation policy?
- Full refund: 61 or more days from the class
- 50% refund: Between 31 and 60 days from the class
- No refund: Within 30 days of the class
- Credits are NOT allowed for missed classes

We had a safety incident and it was handled very well.
Man, what a fun weekend and worth every penny. Getting to go back to basics and really drill them in a safe environment with no pressure really lets you settle in a focus on the fundaments while refining and learning new skills to improve. I saw a considerable improvement in my ability to assess, modify and improve my skill set. Per usual, the instructors were fun, informative, and focused on our safety; giving valuable one on one instruction to help us improve. This was my second class with them, and I am already planning several more adventure with Tactical Hyve this fall.
This course was outstanding! It took everything that was introduced in TPC1 and built on that foundation and continued to expand that experience. Dorr and Dave were fantastic instructors, providing tons of great knowledge and “real-world” experience to bring insight into why we were being taught what we were. I would 100% recommend this course as the next level of progression for anyone wanting to learn how to really run and understand their weapon platforms.
