This class is one of those gems that fits so many levels of shooters. Over the three days, the depth of technique and process increases, as does your shooting ability. It really is noticeable. But this is a class with so much depth that I can easily see myself retaking it as I improve my skills and learn and grow in my abilities to another level. The reason for that is the instructor’s ability to teach these techniques and processes to newer shooters and more experienced shooters at the same time. Allowing both to grow and learn in the same class.
This three-day class is incredibly economical. The cost broken out over three days puts it in a very competitive spot with other 8-hour-a-day classes. You will be shooting a significant amount of the time. Not mag dumping, but putting into practice techniques and processes that build on each other. This is one of the things I feel Tactical Hyve instructors do better than many other classes. They don’t just have a series of categories they are teaching. They move through a progression that constantly builds on the previous skill and works to grow the shooter.
I don’t just take classes to learn to shoot better. That is the biggest part, but I also take classes because I enjoy shooting. Because it is a skill that I have fun getting better at. It challenges me and pushes me and it’s enjoyable. Tactical Hyve has mastered the safety and seriousness of firearms instruction with the enjoyment, fun, and excitement of shooting. Their instructors keep the classes moving at a good pace, they are subject matter experts and provide solid feedback and answers. They run the class in a very safe manner, yet still have fun, are approachable, and keep the atmosphere in an enjoyable learning space.
This class is going to improve your pistol shooting immensely, and it’s going to give you a path to continue to grow and get better. I can’t strongly enough recommend this class for anyone that wants to improve their skills with a pistol.
I recently completed the Tactical Hyve “Cheat Codes of Shooting” 3-Day Workshop in Lakeland, FL and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the experience. The course was designed to cater to shooters of all levels, from beginners to advanced marksmen, and Myles and Herfel did an outstanding job of tailoring their instruction to meet the needs of every participant. Thanks to their personalized approach, every shooter—regardless of their starting skill level—left the workshop with significantly improved abilities and greater confidence.
Myles is an exceptional instructor who has an incredible ability to connect with both new and experienced shooters, ensuring that everyone fully understands the concepts and techniques being taught. I’ve never seen a program so effectively deliver dramatic results in such a short period of time. If you’re looking to take your shooting skills to the next level, I highly recommend the Tactical Hyve “Cheat Codes of Shooting” 3-Day Workshop. It’s a perfect fit whether you’re a novice looking to build a solid foundation or a seasoned shooter seeking to refine your technique.
Overall, the workshop was OUTSTANDING, and I would encourage my family, friends, and anyone serious about their shooting performance to attend. I’m already looking forward to participating in more Tactical Hyve training programs in the future!
Awesome 2 day Conceal Carry Force on Force course this weekend held by @tacticalhyve. This course will test your fundamentals and wake you up to the dark realities of WHY we train. The Instructors, Myles and Dor were fantastic and lended a ton of knowledge and experience to this course. We were told this was NOT a shooting course and that it was a “Problem Solving” course… and THAT it was. Lots of dynamic scenarios that will make you think seriously about the weight of carrying a gun. I was humbled and made a lot of mistakes, that are still haunting me as I’m typing. Speed and solid fundamentals ARE necessary, BUT are NOT a guarantee to surviving a gun fight… the speed your mind can process a possible solution to chaotic and deadly situations is AS important if not MORE important than being able to shoot a gun… and that’s what I took away from this weekend and it’s probably one of the most important lessons I’ve learned in this industry. If you train seriously or not, or you just need a wake up call to the possible reality and responsibility of carrying a gun as a protector and good guy in a unhinged world, then you should take this course.
I am a medical professional from Indiana, and I just completed the 3-day workshop in Pennsylvania, we had shooters from beginner to advanced in my class, and we ALL loved it. Myles did an amazing job of tailoring the class to meet the needs of every participant. Regardless of starting skill level, everyone left substantially better shooters.
I’m so grateful to have been able to take this class, if you want to be a better shooter, in my experience, you won’t find a, more efficient or effective way to dramatically improve your skills in such a short time. I strongly recommend the Tactical Hyve Cheat Codes of Shooting 3-Day Workshop for my family and friends and will continue to attend Tactical Hyve training programs!
I loved every single minute of my Force on Force training. Dorr and Dave were excellent. They pushed us hard and made allowances for mistakes, but were sure to put pressure on us not to make them again, which was why I signed up. I’ll definitely be doing more courses.
Just to stress how important this training is, today I found myself in a situation while at a jet car wash in an area I was unfamiliar with that could have ended very badly for me, and others. I immediately remembered what I’d learned from this course and used it to stay safe and get myself out of what had the potential to get very ugly, very fast. Thank you Dorr, Dave and all at Tactical Hyve. You never know when you you need to think fast and act.
I recently completed the Cheat Codes of Shooting 3-day workshop in Boulder City, Nevada, and if i could,I would give this course a 6-STAR rating!
Having been shooting for just over 2 years, I spent countless hours on YouTube watching How To videos, practicing dry fire, and spending time at the range. Despite my efforts, I felt like I was hitting a wall, and my progress was slower than I wanted. It started to feel like I was wasting money practicing drills not knowing why my shots were going all over the place. That’s when I decided to invest in myself and enroll in this workshop. Halfway through the first day, I knew I had made the right decision and was excited for the days ahead.
Myles, our instructor, is awesome. He explains each topic in a way that’s easy to understand, regardless of your skill level. After discussing each topic, he demonstrates it with varying levels of performance. The course name couldn’t be more fitting—the tools provided truly feel like a cheat code, and the knowledge I’ve gained is invaluable. With guidance from Myles and the Tactical Hyve team, I now have the tools to excel in practical shooting.
Overall, I’m very happy I chose this workshop with Tactical Hyve. There’s no better way to put bullets downrange productively! I highly recommend this workshop to anyone aiming to improve their shooting performance. I’m excited to keep honing my skills, join local competitions, and enroll in another course in the future.
The class was exceptional. It added the fundamentals that I never knew I needed. I was so impressed as it was unlike any other class that I have ever taken. I’m a better shooter because of the class.
The Cheat Codes of Shooting is a great workshop for new shooters and experienced shooters alike. The Tactical Hyve staff do a great job of breaking down in great detail every aspect of shooting accurately and efficiently while keeping the class engaged in the discussion. Whether it’s the basics of a shooting stance, proper grip, proper sight alignment, to the quick transitioning between multiple targets accurately, Tactical Hyve gets you up to speed quickly and safely. This is a must do course for beginner shooters looking to get their skill sets up to speed and experienced shooters looking for those tweaks and tips to take you to a higher level of shooting.
I am a longtime pistol shooter from Florida, and just completed the 3-day workshop in Lakeland. Fantastic class! Myles is an excellent instructor and passionate about the shooting sports. A lot of cutting edge knowledge that you will not be taught at other schools. I have been to many other top-notch schools and they have never shared the secrets that Myles has shared with us. Thank you Myles.
Miles and staff were professioanl, friendly, approachable and enjoyable to work with. Miles has an outgoing personality. Miles was professional the whole time. While teaching on each module he talked with you not down to you. Julie and I were both outside our comfort zone learning news skill sets. But Miles gave it to us in manageable modules and told us it was alright to make mistakes but at the same time he set high standards. He set some lofty standards of performance, but acknowledged that our level of expertise varied and that was ok. Miles and staff run the range safely at all times. I felt comfortable but not complacent. Miles really opened our eyes to what’s possible. It’s up to us to set our goals, train and practice to reach them. Miles, thank you for your time and the excellent training.
The course was OUTSTANDING! I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in improving their shooting skills. Myles is a fantastic instructor able to relate to the new shooter as well a more experienced one. At times I felt overwhelmed with the firehose of information he was presenting but look forward to receiving the class notes to go back and review.
Not enough stars to give this class the proper rating it needs. This was my first time doing anything like this. Prior to this class, I had only taken single slow shots at the range while stationary. Literally never pulled a trigger twice in a row at a rapid pace. Never even considered trigger control, exiting targets, shot cadence and so on. It was so cool to actually learn the mechanics behind what moves the needle in terms of shooting progress.
By the end of the class, I was running around stringing multiple shots together while consciously thinking about how I’m going to engage and exit each target. Most importantly, I felt 100% comfortable and in control while doing it. I was able to feel in control because of the fundamentals that were taught in class. I love the fluidity of the class and how the instructors treat it as a living organism and adjust on the fly as opposed to sticking to a rigid schedule. I feel I got the lessons I needed at the right times.
Absolutely awesome job. I’ll be back for more once I train up on all of the great things I took away from this class.
Great class utilizing movement and shooting while emphasizing the fundamentals. Awareness and safety are paramount. Thanks again to Dorr.
Great training event. Professionally conducted. Challenging, controlled and above all safe. Sent from a 20 year USMC veteran. I’ve seen good and I’ve seen bad - Tactical Hyve is a top shelf program. You can pay more but you’er not going to get better. Bravo Zulu to Dorr.

Excellent instructors. Information was well communicated. Felt supported and safe in a live fire CQB training scenario. Highly recommend.
This was a great class. The teachers were very knowledgeable and did a great job exposing me to scenarios that I would not expect. I feel more prepared now and I am eager to take more classes. Please come back to Texas more often. Thank you!
