After hundreds of hours of training with firearms instructors from law enforcement to Navy SEALs and US Special Forces and shooting competitively for many years, I thought I knew a lot about shooting.
I was wrong! The longer I trained and the more instructors I met, the less I felt I took away from any class other than some faster draw strokes to first shot or pairs at 7 yards.
This is an entirely other level! I wish I could go back in time and make Tactical Hyve the team I trusted to make me more capable as a shooter. Past classes reinforced the same material over and over with some occasional bias from the instructor based on their particular background; while Myles and his team bring together the best of combat tools with competitive smoothness and a scientific approach to shooting that is proven effective right before your eyes and in your own hands.
They take skills I have learned before and add layers and improvements that never even occurred to me.
The capacity of the instructional team to serve as diagnosticians was the best I have ever encountered, and this is what you should be paying for in a class, not just a guy with a stopwatch.
There was also no “my way or the highway”. Every tactic or improvement was offered with a “try this and see if it works for you or fits your style”. Incredibly refreshing and non-dogmatic.
This is what firearms training SHOULD be. I have already referred other friends to save them the fortune I spent chasing good instruction before I found Tactical Hive. I will be back!
I walked into this class expecting just another routine refresher—something to brush up on the basics. But what I got was far more comprehensive and impactful than I imagined. Tactical Hyve takes firearms training to a whole new level, pushing well beyond the conventional instruction offered by most. If you’re fortunate enough to attend one of these classes, consider it an investment in your skillset and confidence. It’s not just training—it’s an eye-opening experience that will challenge and elevate your shooting in ways you didn’t expect.
Far exceeded my expectations. Myles is uniquely gifted in conveying foundational concepts and their implementation into advanced techniques. He designed and presents his curriculum in a practical manner giving you an understanding of how and what you need to train to achieve your goals. The insights and training techniques you learn come from the knowledge of top tier shooters and countless rounds down range. I was particularly blown away by one specific part on the use of vision and target transitions that actually had you feel and understand leading with the eyes the right way. That alone, made this program totally worth it to me. There is so much more valuable information that I hope to do the program again once I train some of the techniques presented and need to reevaluate my progress.
I highly recommend this course to most shooters but think you would get the most benefit once you have good basic skills and are familiar with gun handling. I also recommend you use a full size gun you are familiar with and bring good basic belt and holster setup. Not so much for conceal carry but a setup that is reliable and easy to draw and holster safely.

What a great workshop. Learned so much from Myles and his assistant instructors. He really made things easy to understand and could demonstrate what he was teaching. Lots of trigger pulls and exploration involved with this class. He really knows his stuff and gives a lot of insight on shooting principles and techniques. I would definitely recommend this class probably not so much for the beginner shooter, but someone who has taken good basic classes and understands how to manipulate one’s tool. These guys are the real deal! I’ve struggled so much with misinformation, and always doubted my instincts due to false info and because of this course I regained my confidence on DIAGNOSING my shot. I learned proper fundamentals to adjust the personal side of my shots, and path to actual improvements. Shooting is a very personal thing, there’s no hacks to improving your shot, these guys will help you figure your necessary personal touches to get things done correctly and improve your shots.
I’m a repetition learner, and I was able to get better just from the course. I seen quick learners taking the course with me go from large groupings to 1-2in groupings.
Worth every penny, the instructors have my highest respect and gratitude for teaching me so much.
I thought after 3 years of USPSA shooting there wouldn’t be that much to learn of the basics but I was wrong. Steve and Brock were excellent instructors. I came awy much improved and with a plan for further training. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Steve and Brock were awesome! Great advanced fundamentals class. After shooting on and off for 20+ years, I learned more in this 1-day course than my previous time combined. Each module was broken down Barney-style, making it easily digestible. They incorporated humor and a relaxed, but very safe environment, making it less dry than other courses of this nature. I would highly recommend for any pistol shooter. While it’s not specifically designed for beginners, anyone of any skill level can definitely gain something from this course.
Overall, the class was outstanding. Solid instruction by both Stephen and Brock. Very professional, with detailed instructions and informative answers to any and all questions. Very focused on the fundamentals, and they demonstrated it well throughout the class. Highly recommend the class, as well as the instructors!

Good class. I’d suggest pushing the role play to the very end of day 2 and leaving optional. No training I’ve been to has really figured this out, but it would be great to keep true beginners from signing up for more advanced classes. Keep up the good work.

Course was fantastic. Instructors are very knowledgeable. The instructors also analyze you and make corrections on what your doing wrong, which I found very helpful.

Was my first shooting course with this organization. Very well run felt very safe. Attention to detail was definitely there and expected. Plenty of range time plenty of rounds down range. Step-by-step fundamentals was great to start with. Breaking it down into grip, trigger management, sight acquisition,body position and total body natural point of aim was very helpful and a good building block to work on away from the course. They definitely gave us a lot of information to digest and plenty of drills and exercises to do starting tomorrow to become a better shooter. Weaknesses definitely got exposed quickly, but you got feedback after every exercise on how to correct it and pretty soon. Everybody in the course was able to tell what they were doing in their errors. I have a force on force training coming up and would definitely like to take the next couple sequential courses and keep building.
Great Class!! lots of attention to safety, lots of attention to detail on fundamentals. Stance, Grip, Trigger prep and reset. Lots of one on one hands on (very helpful). Class is geared toward fighting with a gun (which is what I was looking for) Brock and Dorr made the class fun and interesting, looking forward to my next class with Tactical Hyve

Thank you for a great course. Dorr and Brock were outstanding instructors. Their depth of knowledge and experience was unparallel, but what really stood out was their ability to break down the fundamentals and break things down in real time while we were training.
As a novice shooter, that approach made a big difference for me. They explained not just what we were doing, but why, and helped me understand how to diagnose my own results and make corrections. That instruction went a long way in building my confidence.
I walked away with practical tools, a stronger grasp of the fundamentals, and clear takeaways I can apply in future training. It was a well-run course with very high-quality instruction. I really appreciate the opportunity to attend.

I’m a younger shooter and this was the first course I’ve taken. I learned so much. Sometimes I’d make mistakes and the instructors were not judgmental or impatient; rather, they went straight into diagnosing my mistake, why it happened and how to correct it. Then I had the opportunity to try again and improve. I’m so grateful I had this opportunity to train with instructors who are not only national champions, but also excellent teachers. I’m totally hooked on training classes and look forward to training again with Tactical Hyve and their team!
This course exceeded my expectations, truly an amazing experience. Often in courses, the instructors just tell you to shoot better. Here, they knew exactly how to teach you, critique you and help you in terms of efficiency, shot placement, weapons manipulation, foot work and more. They were outstanding at actually teaching the material to help me become a better shooter. So often at courses, instructors are very good shooters, but often they aren’t great at communicating exactly how it’s done. This course was truly revelatory for me in terms of my perceived vs my actual skill. I now know what I need to do to improve. If you’re humble enough to attend, you’ll gain insights into your skill level you could not get any other way.
