6 week Beginners pottery class Monday 6:30-8:30pm
In this 6 week class, we will cover hand-building techniques e.g. slab building, coil building, throwing on the potter’s wheel, adding texture to clay, and decorating/glazing your fired work. As the class is taught in a small group in my garden studio you will have lots of one-to-one support for what you wish to make. The price is £180 for 6 lessons with a fee for firing and glazing. This includes a cuppa/biccy!
Once you have completed this beginner class you can join an improver's class where you can make your own projects with support from a tutor.
Wear old clothes, bring an apron, keep nails short, and tie hair back!

I had a wonderful time on the course with Gill and Viv!! I worked along side some lovely potters! I was made to feel relaxed and everything was explained really well! Gillian is a patient and enthusiastic teacher. In six weeks we progressed to making all sorts of pieces on the wheel and by hand. Her set up in a garden studio is an oasis of calm at the end of a busy day. Loved the course, looking to book onto another one in a few months.
