Ramsgate Pottery

This 4 week course offers you the opportunity to explore various surface decoration processes, including mono printing, paper resist, slip trailing, painting and illustration on clay. You will work on pre-prepared tiles and vessels that will be bisque-fired and glazed with transparent glaze.

This class will be taught by two experienced ceramic artists Gillian Farrell and Vivienne Yankah. They will guide you through the different techniques and offer support and advice as you work.

Refreshments will be provided. All necessary materials: clay, tools, and equipment will be provided for you to use during the session. The price includes firing and glazing of your sample pieces. You may want to bring your own apron and remember to wear old clothes.

Experience level: Some prior experience in pottery is helpful and it is a great opportunity for more experienced potters to explore new techniques.

As a small studio, we do not offer refunds for missed classes but you are welcome to find someone to replace you or transfer to another course of the same value.

We reserve the right to cancel a class that does not meet the required amount of people to run it and if this is the case you will be given a full refund.
