Richmond Young Writers

Students will learn about biographical information and the body of work of a different queer poet every week. Then, we will write our own poetry based on the poet we learn about. Students will have one poem per class that is workshopped and will learn how to read poetry, how to write poetry or enhance our writing practice, how to workshop and receive feedback.
