Knife Control Concepts LEO 4-Day Training

4 Days of Training, 6 Hours/Day (9am-3pm) - Certificates Upon Completion
Day 1: Standing Control and Clinch Concepts: Primary positions, transitions through positions, hand switches, core concepts for dealing with an entanglement with a blade.
Day 2: Ground Movement and Control: Day 1 review, body positioning and pressure on the ground, core positions of top control, application against prone and supine attacker, low risk/high reward takedowns.
Day 3: Grabs and Free Swinging Blades: Day 2 review, posts and frames, clothing/vest grips, weapon retention concepts, arm stops and parries, shin pins and staples, arm locks, practical application
Day 4: Strikes, Scrambles, and Scenarios: Day 3 review, striking options and concepts, dealing with loss of balance and fighting off the ground, in-fight weapons access, technical scenario training.
All participants will receive access to online training videos and instructions for reference after the course.
$750/registrant - invoice and receipts available for agency pay or reimbursement if needed
Open to active LE and Security only
Recommended Packing/Gear List:
- Pen/Paper for notes
- Snacks/Water (no lunch break - we take a 5 to 10 minute break each hour)
- Wicking style shirts for training
- 1 long sleeve and one short sleeve shirt that may be stretched/torn
- Duty gear to train with: Vest, Belt, etc. (these will be used day 3 and 4)
- Inert Solid Plastic Training Gun
- MMA/Fingerless Gloves (we will have a few pairs to borrow if needed)
- Mouthguard (optional - hitting will be light and controlled)
DO NOT BRING ANY LIVE WEAPONS/TOOLS INTO THE FACILITY
