This course is designed to equip Commissioned School Security Officers—regardless of prior experience—with effective strategies for defending their school district using a semi-automatic rifle during an active shooter incident. It incorporates the core principles and fundamentals of the Intuitive Defensive® Shooting program, specifically adapted to carbine use.

Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of true Counter Ambush response techniques with a carbine, develop essential shooting skills, and learn a proven training methodology to continue improving those skills beyond the course.

This is an active course.

What do I need to bring?

• Lunch, snacks, plenty of water
• Carbine
• Carbine zeroed at 50 yards
• 3 - 4 magazines
• Sling (we can provide slings with some notice)
• 500+ rounds ammunition (we can have it provided day of class if you need it at market prices, but we need to know ahead of time)
• Eye and ear protection (Electronic Ear Pro preferred)
• Weather appropriate clothing including a hat
• Rifle Shooting Mat (optional)
• Backup rifle (optional)
