Post-Licensing 303: NC Law, Rules & Legal Terms (online weekend schedule)

Course Facilitation Method:
- Live, online via the Zoom platform during the scheduled dates/times.
- Participants will need to have access to a computer, webcam, microphone and reliable internet connection. Visibility on camera is required during class.
- A link to the virtual classroom and student materials will be emailed to each enrolled student the day before the class begins.
Textbook:
- The NC Real Estate Manual (2023) is required for use during all three post-licensing courses.

Schedule:
- Review the Dates Breakdown section above for complete schedule details.
- This course will meet online each Saturday and Sunday, 8:30am - 4:30pm, for a total of 4 class sessions over two weekends.
- Breaks, including a 30-minute lunch break, will be provided throughout each class session.
Attendance:
- Per NCREC rules, participants must attend at least 90% of this 30-hour course in order to receive course completion credit.
- Students missing more than 3 hours are ineligible for course completion credit.
- Time missed cannot be made up.
- Students must be visible and engaged on camera during class time. Driving while connected to the virtual classroom is not allowed.
Notes:
- On your enrollment form you’ll have the opportunity to enroll in this single post-licensing course, or, select the three course package for a considerable discount if you need to enroll in all three post-licensing courses. The package discount cannot be combined with other discounts.
- All three Post-Licensing courses must be completed within 18 months following the date of initial licensure.
Course Description:
The Post 303 -- NC Law, Rules, and Legal Concepts course is one of the three 30-instructional hour courses in the North Carolina mandatory Post-Licensing (PL) education program. The primary objective of the PL courses is to provide instruction at a level beyond that provided in Pre-Licensing courses on topics deemed to be of special importance in the active practice of real estate brokerage. Topics addressed in this course include:
- general North Carolina licensing requirements
- brokerage compensation issues
- the disciplinary process
- specialized types of real estate
- property management in NC
- miscellaneous NC laws and legal concepts
