Hybrid CAOHC Certification Course / Co-Sponsored by Johns Hopkins University
Hybrid CAOHC Certification Course
Presented by Earmark Hearing Conservation and Johns Hopkins Bloomburg School of Public Health
Occupational Hearing Conservationists are trained and credentialed through Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC) approved courses. The training is essential for occupational health professionals who administer audiometric testing as required by OSHA, MSHA, DOD and FRA regulations. Dr. Wartinger (CAOHC Course Director #496199) leads a unique team-approach training where you will hear from multiple course directors and guest instructors throughout the course. This approach ensures high-quality, engaging instruction which addresses multiple learning styles and modalities.
Participation in a CAOHC-approved course, conducted by a CAOHC certified Course Director, is the first step to obtaining COHC (Occupational Hearing Conservation) recertification. All students must then pass a computer-based standardized examination at the conclusion of the course. An application and fee will be submitted to CAOHC on each student's behalf by Earmark Hearing Conservation. The recertification period is five years.
Hybrid Virtual CAOHC Courses offered by Earmark Hearing Conservation require in-person attendance on the 3rd (last) day for audiometric practicum, hearing protection device practicum, and examination.
