Lockeland Choir Club

Hello, and welcome to Lockeland Elementary's first Choir Club sign-up page! This club is for singers in 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades to dive into the fun of harmony singing. Repertoire will include a mix of music from past and present, and near and far. Choir Club will emphasize joyful community-building alongside age-appropriate exploration of music theory, and all the satisfaction of making a big sound, together! We will meet weekly on Wednesdays at 3pm in the Lockeland Elementary music classroom. (*Please note that this club starts and ends one week later than the other clubs, running from Weds. January 21st - Weds. March 4th.*)

This Club is led by Hannah Levy, an educator, performer and recording artist with years of experience leading community-based singing, camps, choirs, and private instruction for all ages. Hannah grew up in a singing community in Western Massachusetts and has gone on to tour the world with choirs, vocal trios, and bands. She has a degree in jazz vocal performance, and refers to the principles of Somatic Voicework (tm) and the Kodaly Method in her teaching. Hannah aims to create exciting, welcoming, and ever-expansive spaces to study, play, and celebrate music. She is grateful to be kicking off Choir Club at Lockeland this winter!

In case of more than one weather-related cancellation, we will schedule a make-up session in March.
