Lockeland Choir Club

Hello, and welcome to Lockeland Elementary's first Choir Club sign-up page! This club is for singers in 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades to dive into harmony singing together. Repertoire will include a mix of music from past and present, and near and far. Choir Club emphasize joyful community-building alongside age-appropriate exploration of music theory, and all the fun that comes with making a big sound, together!

This Club is led by Hannah Levy, an educator, performer and recording artist here in Nashville with years of experience leading community-based singing, camps, choirs, and private instruction for all ages. Hannah grew up in a singing community in Western Massachusetts and has gone on on to tour the world with vocal trios, choirs and bands. She has a degree in jazz vocal performance and has studied Somatic Voicework (tm) as well as the Kodaly Method. Her teaching aims to create containers to study, participate in, and celebrate music that are exciting, welcoming, and ever-expansive. She is grateful to be kicking off Choir Club at Lockeland this winter!

In case of more than one weather-related cancellation, we will make up the meeting time on Wednesday March 4th (and Wednesday March 11th if need be!)
