Rigging Safety
This 8 hour instructor-led course was developed to teach safe rigging practices associated with all crane types to make you a better safe operator and rigger.
Improper rigging practices have led to the deaths and injuries of many individuals. These are often due to riggers not knowing the correct method of securing certain loads, loading rigging components beyond their lifting capacities, and getting caught between unpredictable moving loads.
Workers who will be rigging or overseeing rigging in any degree must receive training specific to their assigned responsibility. This training should include inspecting all rigging gear prior to its use and how to properly rig a load.
Course Content:
- Determining the Weight of the Load
- Sling Angles and Stresses
- Center of Gravity
