I say with no exaggeration, this was the best training course I’ve ever take, in any subject. Not because of the subject matter, but for the engagement of the instructor with the class. I never felt bored or the urge to check my watch to see when I can leave. Very charismatic instructor, extremely knowledgeable, and philosophical. A memorable experience to say the least.

Really good information to learn, our instructor was very engaging for people like me who never did this before, as well to the guys who have. He makes sure to ask what the new people took away from each chapter and the students who’ve already done it and renewing. It was taught very well! I would highly recommend this course to anyone working in oil and gas or any job requiring h2s safety.

Excellent instructor and course
On Tues July 28th, I had the privilege of participating in the H2S Alive course with James Murphy facilitating. He was outstanding, personable, extremely knowledgeable, competent, and with an excellent, timely, sense of humor. He presented in an extremely informative, articulate and understandable fashion, a variety of scenarios to a varied group of students, from newcomers to seasoned energy sector employees, incorporating and encouraging participation by all ! Throughout the course he was able to maintain the class interest, and minimize intimidation, presenting factual data, with emphasis on the critical importance of H2S knowledge. He was well organized and presented the information in a fashion that was not only easily understood, but increased the desire to learn, while imparting life saving skills and techniques while emphasizing importance of aquiring more assessment skills, and hazard identification abilities, to prevent loss of life and injury. An excellent opportunity to learn to “think outside the box” !

Very impressed with the instructor’s ability to get the content of the course taught clearly and with enough punctuation that I was able to hold the information in my head to pass the exam. With reading over and reviewing what I have been taught I hope to keep this knowledge fresh enough in my mind that it will keep myself safe and help others stay safe.

Great instructor, and course
I just completed the H2S Alive at the Kelowna location. The Instructor was awesome, I’m a noob with nil experience in the trades or oil and gas. He was able to learn a little about us and almost tailored the course to each of us. He was incredibly knowledgeable on a very broad range of trades and industry, in relation to oil and gas etc. He had a great sense of humour and was very professional yet very relatable. Quality refreshments were provided. I highly recommend 🤙
SafetyBC Booking Policy
1. Cancellation and Refund Eligibility:
- Cancellations Made Before 48 Hours of Class Start:
- Students who cancel their enrolment more than 48 hours before the start of the class are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations Made Within 48 Hours of Class Start:
- Students who cancel their enrolment within 48 hours of the class start time will be rescheduled for the next available class offered by SafetyBC.
- If a student chooses not to reschedule, no refund will be issued.
2. Refund Processing:
- Refunds for eligible cancellations are processed via e-transfer or cheque only.
3. How to Cancel:
- To cancel a class enrolment, students must contact SafetyBC customer service at training@safetybc.com
- All cancellation requests will be processed based on the time and date the request is received by SafetyBC.
4. Additional Information:
- SafetyBC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, affected students will be notified as soon as possible and will be given the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
