It was my very first class of this type and I have to say I was not disappointed. For The two days I was there, Sonny and Dor put on an incredible display of knowledge, safety, an experience which allowed me could not only gain more confidence handling both a pistol and rifle, but how to prepare myself for any future confrontation that may arise. Looking forward to the next class.
Another great class led by Johnnie! Skills focused, a thorough review of the basics and then right into the meat and potatoes. Prior to the class, I had never worked through intentional “shit stick” exercises or attempted transitions from rifle to pistol to rifle……absolutely loved it! Box drills a must and I have added those to my training exercises. Shannon and Zac were absolutely professional and applied the right pressure….and the right motivation with absolutely the perfect timing. I will definitely be repeating this course next year. I really appreciate all the subject matter experts Tactical Hyve employs. I walk away from every class shooting quicker and more accurately. TH provides the tools to arm yourself with skills and knowledge, to never be a victim, and elevated safety and confidence in today’s chaotic environment.
Highly recommend this course, TacHyve, and Joe as an instructor. This was my first course with these guys and it struck the perfect balance of instruction and execution. Joe was excellent at covering fundamentals and quickly scaling us up into more advanced drills. This helped build my confidence in the basics and get me operating quickly at the next level. A couple things really stood out. First, Joe explained his techniques and drills with practical context and a real philosophy. This made me feel like I learned a skill, and the why behind it and how I can practice and extend that on my own. Second, while we learned a lot, we quickly got to the fun part (putting it into practice). I don’t mind the classroom side of these courses, but its admittedly my least favorite part. Joe moved us efficiently through that and let us get out and practice. Third, there was the right balance of hands on coaching and also letting us just get out and practice what we learned. Throughout, I felt this was a high quality, safe, and beneficial experience.
Great class! I really improved both my handgun and rifle shooting and was able to see noticeable improve by the end of day two. Thanks to all the instructors who helped make the possible.
