After School Arts introduces 1st-5th graders to a diverse art curriculum that meets once a week for three weeks. Students create through fabric, painting, clay, printmaking, mixed media, photography, and more. Lessons emphasize critical thinking skills, open-ended solutions, and creativity.
Students are provided with a healthy snack. Movement and music are incorporated into the curriculum.
When: Wednesdays, 4:15 - 6:15 pm

Unit E: "Sculpture" - March 11-18-25
What can you build with plaster, wire, aluminum foil, and wood? A dancing sculpture, of course! In this session, students will experiment with combining different materials to design and construct a unique, one-of-a-kind work of art.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Scholarship opportunities are available to give residents of all ages the opportunity to participate in programs at the Oxford Community Arts Center. Under the program, 50% matching scholarships are available through a generous grant from the Kiwanis Club of Oxford.
