Junior Lifeguard Club - Cross Practice
Junior Lifeguard Club is a new adventure for your child. Participants aged 8-15 will be taught important skills for future lifeguards, including first aid, lifesaving decision making, leadership, as well as improving their fitness and endurance. This is a great way to prepare to take Bronze Medallion and Cross or if your child is looking for a new adventure in the pool!
Participants will receive a wall poster on which they can put achievement stickers to mark their progress through first aid, lifesaving and fitness skills. This will earn them their Canadian Swim Patrol levels (Rookie patrol, Ranger patrol aka Swimmer 7/8) along the way and more! Once swimmers have achieved their Ranger Patrol badge they are invited to join our Junior Lifeguard Club ADVANCED MEDALLION/CROSS PRACTICE LEVELS.
Prerequisites: Bronze Medallion, and participants should be able to swim 400 meters, 100 meters each of front crawl, back crawl and breaststroke. For ages 8+.

- Intermediate: Completed Swimmer 6 or previous experience in JLC, Rookie patrol or Ranger Patrol

Both kids enjoyed the training especially the first aid section.
So happy that this practice group for Bronze Medallion was added this term. It was a great way for my daughter to start learning the requirements for this lifeguarding level. The instructors were excellent and my daughter really enjoyed coming to the sessions. Highly recommend it.
A great course with so many benefits for swimmers. The instructors were knowledgable and organized.
