The defensive application of the shotgun is massively misunderstood in the modern age. Decades of myth, rumor, and poor quality training have made the defensive shotgun the most poorly understood of the defensive implements available to us.
The truth is that with the right equipment, ammunition, and techniques the defensive shotgun today is a better tool than it has ever been...IF you know how to use it. In this class we will teach you the key techniques and crucial points of knowledge to intelligently wield the most effective close range fight stopping implement you can hold in your hands.
Equipment:
- Quality repeating shotgun (pump or semi-auto)
- Ballistically rated eye protection
- Quality hearing protection (electronic preferred)
- Brimmed hat
- At least 125 rounds of LEAD birdshot (heavier birdshot like #4 or #6 preferred)
- At least 25 rounds of bulk buckshot
- At least 10 rounds of buckshot you would consider using for defense
- Quality side saddle for your shotgun (Vang Comp cards or Aridus advised)
- Some means of carrying at least 25 shells on your person
- Note taking material
- Food for a working lunch
There's a $20 cash range fee due the day of class.
