Intermediate Sewing- Core Techniques
Ready to build on your sewing foundation?
Intermediate Sewing – Core Techniques dives deeper into essential methods and real-world applications that take your skills to the next level. Through a series of guided projects, students will refine their technique, improve accuracy, and gain confidence working on more complex constructions.
In this course, you will practice a variety of seam and seam finish techniques while creating a pillowcase, explore multiple hem styles through an apron project, and master the fundamentals of zippers, buttonholes, and hook and snap closures. The class concludes with an introduction to garment sewing and sewing in three dimensions as you construct a reversible bucket hat.
This hands-on course is ideal for confident beginners ready to expand their skills and begin tackling more advanced sewing projects.
In the event of winter weather affecting class schedules, we prioritize the safety of our students and staff. Additionally, we will post announcements on our official website and social media pages to keep you informed. Please ensure that you check your email, visit our website, and follow our social media channels for the latest information during adverse weather conditions.
It's important to note that we generally follow the Kansas City, Missouri Public Schools closing decisions. Your safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding and cooperation in staying updated with any schedule changes caused by winter weather.
