Sacred Writes: The Art of Leading Writing Circles with Depth, Safety, and Soul

This 4-hour live zoom training offers a spacious, experiential introduction to leading sacred writing circles, modeled after Valley Haggard’s long-running Life in 10 Minutes and Writing Fire workshops. Rather than focusing on critique or outcomes, this training centers on how to create containers where truth, creativity, and transformation can safely emerge. Participants will learn how to open and close a circle, offer generative prompts, hold group energy, respond to vulnerable writing with care, and integrate simple ritual, embodiment, and grounding practices—without over-performing or over-holding.

This is not a certification program, but a generous, practical transmission of tools Valley has refined over two decades of teaching writers, healers, and seekers. The training is part instruction, part demonstration, and part lived experience—so you’ll feel the work in your body as well as understand it intellectually. You’ll leave with frameworks you can immediately adapt into your existing teaching, coaching, therapy, spiritual direction, or community work.
