Seed Bomb Workshop - Spring II
Fri, Mar 13, 2026, 6:00 – 8:00 PM EDT
Children's Garden
AGES: 6-13
Kids mix clay, soil, and seeds to create seed “bombs” that can be planted in pots, garden beds, or agreed‑upon outdoor spaces. With guidance from Caroline Lehman-Croswell and native seed sourcing support from Debra Bowles, participants will learn the difference between wildflower and vegetable seeds, talk about what plants need to grow, and explore why native species are important for pollinators. Each child will take home a small set of seed bombs along with simple care instructions.
Culture Crops Activity: Soil Type Demonstration with Dick Munson, showing how different soils hold water and support plant roots.
When: Second Friday, March 13th from 6-8 PM
Location: Children's Garden or Art Ed Room, weather dependent!
