Upcoming
Mini Water Cycle Workshop - Spring III
Fri, May 8, 2026, 6:00 – 8:00 PM EDT
Children's Garden
AGES: 6-13
Kids explore how water moves through the garden demonstrated by the site’s swales and rain‑catching features. With guidance from Steve Townsend, participants test how “rainfall” travels over soil, collects in low spots, and soaks in to help plants grow, then experiment with rocks, sand, and soil to see how changes in the landscape affect water flow and erosion.
Culture Crops Activity: Water Journey Map – kids draw or collage a visual map that follows a raindrop’s journey from sky to soil to plant.
When: Second Friday, May 8th from 6-8 PM
Location: Children's Garden
Min: 4 / Max: 8
