AGES: 6-13

Kids work with Caroline Lehman-Croswell and Debra Bowles to create small cob‑style houses for a miniature garden village using clay, sand, and other simple materials. They learn how sun‑dried building techniques relate to traditional architecture in arid climates and how homes are adapted to different environments; pieces are left to dry and later treated with linseed oil before being installed in the garden.

Culture Crops Activity: Cob Imprint Textures – children press natural objects and tools into clay tiles to explore pattern, texture, and story.
