Webinar: Martyn's Law and a Conversation about Public Protection Procedures
The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 [Martyn's Law] introduces the requirement for Public Protection Procedures relating to:
- Evacuation
- Invacuation
- Lockdown
- Communication
These public protection procedures apply to all qualifying premises and events. But how easy is the terminology to understand and comply with?
Join this webinar to hear from lockdown specialist, Tony Foote, who will share his thoughts on this terminology and the potential for single points of failure in the event of any confusion.
Relevant Feedback
As a Town Council we only run a few events during the year but we always do a Risk Assessment for each one and we are mindful of all H&S requirements. With regard to the new law I have developed a Martyn’s Law Check sheet which will be completed and filed with all the other relevant documentation for each event.
Really enjoy these Webinars, keep up the good work!
Interesting Presentation
look forward to others.
This webinar was slightly different to the norm, with less slides & more chat. But that was good as the talk around the slides helped to get the message across. Some real very real examples where given that hit home just how important it is to be aware (of your surroundings) and to use common sense. Looking forward to receiving the recording with links for further information - hopefully another webinar soon to answer the fire service’s stance from the university question.
