Discover Nui Shibori

Discover the Art of Nui Shibori

Join Ann Greenleaf for an immersive Nui (stitched) Shibori workshop that explores the artistry of resist dyeing through hand stitching.

In the first session, Ann will introduce a wide range of stitched Shibori techniques, offering demonstrations and hands-on practice to build a strong foundation. Participants will then continue working independently at home, completing the stitching on their chosen pieces.

During the second session, the magic unfolds as students gather to “pull up” their stitches, creating intricate resist patterns before dyeing their fabric. The reveal is always a highlight, showcasing the unique results of each person’s work.

While prior Shibori experience can be helpful, it is not required.

This workshop welcomes curious beginners and experienced makers alike.
