Course Overview

Transition Fundamentals is a two-day live-fire course built for students who want a practical foundation with both the pistol and the rifle in one structured program.

This class is designed for responsibly armed citizens who want more than static range habits. Students will develop safe, efficient gun handling, stronger mechanics, better target acquisition, improved recoil control, reload efficiency, movement, and introductory platform transition skills.

What You’ll Work On

✅ Foundational rifle-to-pistol transition concepts

Course Format

Day 1 – Pistol Fundamentals 🔫

Build a stronger handgun foundation through safe presentation, grip, sight discipline, trigger control, reloads, recoil management, and accuracy work.

Day 2 – Rifle Fundamentals & Transition Concepts 🔥

Develop rifle handling, ready positions, manipulation, reloads, target engagement, movement, and introductory transition work from rifle to pistol.

Prerequisites

To attend, students must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be legally allowed to possess firearms and ammunition
  • Be able to safely handle firearms
  • Follow all instructor and range safety rules
  • Complete required waivers before training

📌 Basic familiarity with firearms is strongly recommended.

Pistol

  • Semi-auto pistol
  • OWB holster
  • Minimum 3 magazines
  • Magazine pouch
  • Approx. 300 rounds

Rifle

  • Semi-auto rifle or carbine
  • Sling strongly recommended
  • Minimum 3 magazines
  • Magazine pouch
  • Approx. 300 rounds

Personal Gear

  • Eye protection
  • Ear protection
  • Sturdy belt
  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • Water and snacks
  • Government-issued photo ID

⚠️ This is a live-fire course. Unsafe gun handling, failure to follow instructions, or reckless behavior will result in removal from class.

Do I need to be advanced?
No. This course is for beginner to intermediate students who are safe and coachable.

Is this a concealed carry class?
No. This is a live-fire defensive fundamentals course.

Will we draw from the holster?
Yes, when safety standards and student readiness allow it.

Will we work transitions?
Yes. Students will be introduced to basic rifle-to-pistol transition concepts.

Can I run optics?
Yes, as long as your equipment is safe and functional.
