Post-Licensing 301: Broker Relationships & Responsibilities (online M/W/F schedule)

Course Facilitation Method:
- Live, online via the Zoom platform.
- Participants will need access to a computer with reliable internet connection, webcam and microphone. Use of mobile phones is discouraged.
- Participants must refrain from conducting distractive multitasking during instructional hours. Driving a vehicle while connected to the virtual classroom is not allowed. Please plan accordingly.
- A link to the virtual classroom and participant materials will be emailed to all enrollees the day before the class start date.
Textbook:
- The NC Real Estate Manual (2023) is required for use during all three post-licensing courses.

Schedule:
- Review the Dates Breakdown section above for complete schedule details.
- This course will meet online each Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00 - 2:30, for a total of 6 class sessions.
- The course exam will be administered in class during the last class session of the schedule.
Attendance:
- Per NCREC rules, participants must attend at least 90% of this 30-hour course in order to receive course completion credit.
- Students missing more than 3 hours are ineligible for course completion credit.
- Time missed cannot be made up.
- Attendance (online) during the last class session to complete the exam is critical.
Cancellation:
- Students needing to withdraw their enrollment must do so 48-hours prior to the course start date in order to receive a refund.
- A $75 cancellation fee will apply.
- Students may transfer their enrollment to a future course rather than cancelling. Any difference in the tuition fee may be owed.
- Go School reserves the right to cancel an upcoming course due to instructor availability or low enrollment. In such cases a full refund is issued to the student or the student may also transfer their enrollment to a future course.
Note:
- On your enrollment form you’ll have the opportunity to enroll in this single post-licensing course, or, select the three course package for a considerable discount if you need to enroll in all three post-licensing courses. Your enrollment for this course will be confirmed. For the other two courses within the package, review the schedule of classes and email the school at info@goschool.biz to inform them which two scheduled classes to add you to.
Course Description:
The Post 301 - Broker Relationships and Responsibilities course is one of the three 30-classroom hour courses in the North Carolina mandatory Post-licensing education program. All three post-licensing education courses must be completed by the licensee within 18-months of their license being issued. The primary objective of the course is to provide instruction at a level beyond that provided in Pre-licensing courses on topics deemed to be of special importance. Topics addressed in this course include:
- A review of agency relationships in real estate residential and commercial sales and commercial and property management transactions
- A real estate broker’s legal duties to clients and customers
- A step-by-step review and discussion of the functions and responsibilities of a real estate broker when working with sellers and buyers
- A review of issues associated with transactions in progress when a broker leaves a firm, and
- A review of license status and education issues.
