Webinar: Martyn's Law and Responsibility for Legal Requirements
The Home Office has now published the long awaited section 27 statutory guidance for the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 (better known as Martyn's Law).
In this webinar we'll be exploring the role of the Responsible Person and Designated Senior Individuals as defined in Chapter 6 of the guidance.

As a Town Council we only run a few events during the year but we always do a Risk Assessment for each one and we are mindful of all H&S requirements. With regard to the new law I have developed a Martyn’s Law Check sheet which will be completed and filed with all the other relevant documentation for each event.

This webinar was slightly different to the norm, with less slides & more chat. But that was good as the talk around the slides helped to get the message across. Some real very real examples where given that hit home just how important it is to be aware (of your surroundings) and to use common sense. Looking forward to receiving the recording with links for further information - hopefully another webinar soon to answer the fire service’s stance from the university question.
