Spring Poems, Wanderings, & Memories [ages 12-15]
Thu, May 28, 2026, 4:30 – 6:30 PM EDT
Quarry, 2707 West Cary Street, Richmond, Virginia, United States Map
Learn about why poets throughout history have always written about Spring and what it can inspire in us, first by reading Spring poems by famous poets, and then by taking a walk through nearby ____ Park and writing poems of your own! Students will also be able to pick from provided flowers or fallen leaves and blooms collected along the journey to dry and collage with their poem. Take home a handwritten poem and a preserved memory of your time in one of the most beautiful and fleeting seasons of the year.
Bring a pen/pencil and a notebook if you have one.
