Ramsgate Pottery

In this 3 week course with Karen from Kickwheel pottery, you will be shown by demonstration and one-to-one teaching how to throw a pot on the wheel. We will cover preparing clay, how to centre and throw cylinders and bowls, and good studio practice while throwing (cleaning the wheel, storing work properly). We will also cover trimming and glazing. Everyone will have a wheel each, and this class will be for a small group only, so you will have lots of one-on-one attention.

Just so you know, the course does not cover the price of firing and glazing. There will be a charge of £1.50 per 100 grams of fired, glazed work.
