This course has been approved and accepted through BCCSA as a NCSO designated course. Our instructors are trained and certified by Fusion Safety Services; a licensed BCCSA Approved Training Provider.

This one-day course was developed for workers entering and working in or around confined and restricted spaces who must be trained in order to perform their duties in a safe and healthy manner. It includes an instructor led PowerPoint presentation, class exercises, videos, and a written knowledge test.

Course Content:

1. What a Confined Space and Restricted Space is
2. The training and competency requirements
3. Recognition, evaluation and control of hazards and completing a hazard assessment
4. Classification of Confined Space levels
5. Legislation requirements (Safety and Protection)
6. Hazardous substances and energy (Isolation)
7. Testing the atmosphere
8. Ventilation and purging
9. Neutralization and inerting
10. Entry permit system
11. Confined Space Standby Monitor responsibilities and duties
12. Emergency response
13. Personal Protective Equipment
14. Definition's

Please Note:  The course manual is not required during the virtual training however if you would like a copy, we can provide one at your request.

You will need the following to join our virtual classroom:

• Computer with reliable internet access
• Webcam, speakers and microphone (Webcam MUST be on at all times)
• Student exercises - printed
• Cellphone
• Pen and paper
