Shotgun Level 1 – Beginner
Foundations & Safety
Shotgun Level 1 is designed for new or returning shooters looking to build a solid, safe foundation with the shotgun platform. This instructor-led course emphasizes safety, confidence, and fundamental shooting skills.
Course Focus:
- Shotgun safety rules and safe handling
- Shotgun types, ammunition, and operation
- Proper stance, mounting, recoil management
- Loading and unloading procedures
- Basic marksmanship and target engagement
***Round Count: 50 Shells***
Gear Required:
- Shotgun (pump or semi-auto)
- Eye & ear protection
- Ammunition
- Range-appropriate clothing
Prerequisite: None
Three hours classroom at Idaho Guns & Outdoors Athol, and two hours live fire at Farragut Shooting Range. $20 non refundable deposit required to hold your spot. Limited to 10 students.
