Memoir is not a writing assignment. It is an act of excavation — a descent into the subterranean story network where memory, intuition, and truth have been quietly waiting for you to arrive with your pen. In this 12-week initiation, we don't start with structure. We start with the story that's already trying to emerge.

Through writing activations, guided rituals, energy work, oracle cards, somatic practices, and the alchemical heat of sacred community, we'll drop beneath the surface of what you think your story is — and discover what it actually is. What you find there will surprise you. It always does.

This is memoir for people who thought they couldn't write their memoir. For people who've tried and gotten stuck. For people who know their story matters but can't find the way in. For people who are done waiting for permission.

What We'll Do Together

Rather than following a prescribed structure, each week we follow the story that's alive and wanting to move. Through a combination of:

• Writing activations and rituals that bypass the analytical mind and drop us directly into story
• Guided meditations and energy work to access memory stored in the body, not just the mind
• Oracle card readings with the Sacred Circle Oracle to illuminate the archetypal patterns running through your life
• Sacred witness practice — receiving and offering reflections with radical tenderness and honor
• Stream-of-consciousness and free writing that lets the subconscious lead
• Intimate small group sessions where every voice is essential to the fire

You will write. You will be surprised. You will likely weep, laugh, and discover stories you didn't know you were carrying. You will leave with more of your story on the page than you ever imagined possible — and a writing practice that belongs to you forever.

This Is Different Because

We lead with truth, not technique. Craft matters — but not as much as the raw, real, unfiltered story. We get that on the page first. Everything else follows.

We combine group alchemy with individual attention. The group creates a heat and energy that solo writing never can. You'll also receive dedicated 1:1 time with Valley so your particular story gets the concentrated attention it deserves.

We don't critique. We witness. In this container your writing is met with tenderness, curiosity, and celebration — not correction. The patriarchal workshop model paralyzed many of us. We do it differently here.

We use healing modalities as writing tools. Energy work, somatic awareness, oracle cards, guided meditation — these aren't extras. They're how we access the stories the analytical mind keeps locked away.

The 12-week container of Stranger Than Fiction is a seasonal arc, a complete initiation. The transformation available in a 12-week container cannot be rushed or replicated in shorter bursts — it requires the slow alchemy of autumn, the permission to go deeper week by week, and the irreplaceable bonds that only form when a community stays together long enough to truly know each other's stories.
