Instagram for Artists & Makers
You don't need thousands of followers to benefit from Instagram. You just need to understand how it works and how to use it in a way that supports your creative practice.
This hands-on workshop is designed for artists and makers who want to feel more confident sharing their work online.
Over two 90-minute sessions, we'll build your account together, explore the different tools Instagram offers, and help you develop habits that feel sustainable. Between the two sessions, you'll have a week to practice what you've learned before we meet again to review your account and answer your questions.
We'll cover:
- Setting up your account so it reflects your work and your goal
- Writing a clear and engaging bio
- Understanding Posts, Stories and Reels
- Learning the different interactions (Likes, Comments, Shares, Saves...) and when to use them
- Understanding the relationship between Facebook and Instagram
- Choosing which platform is best depending on what you want to share
- Reading your account statistics and understanding what they tell you
- Building meaningful connections with your audience
- Developing simple habits that save time and leave more room for making art
No previous experience is required. Whether you're starting from scratch or already have an account that feels a little neglected, you'll leave with practical tools, a clearer strategy, and the confidence to continue on your own.
Maximum 8 participants to allow plenty of individual feedback.
Please bring:
- Your smartphone (fully charged)
- Your Instagram login information (username and password)
- A notebook if you'd like to take notes
